Fixed active fire suppression systems with ecological gaseous agents total flooding
The extinguishment by total flooding with gases is used in the spaces where it is necessary a reaction as promptly possible in case a fire occurs, where the fire can intervene at any hour in daytime or nighttime.
It is also used where the damages produced by the conventional fire extinguishing agents can not be accepted, such as: areas with computers and telecommunication equipment, control rooms containing process computers, areas with robotic systems, automated production lines, flight training simulators, control centers for air traffic, bank treasure houses / documents deposits, museums / libraries, art galleries / collections / archives, command rooms for elevators, restoration workrooms, medical diagnosis rooms, areas with scanners etc, or in warehouse areas and technical spaces.

NovecTM 1230 was created as an alternative for Halon 1301 whose production was ceased in 1993, as a result of the adjustments made to the Montreal protocol in November 1992.
NovecTM 1230 does not contain Bromides or Chlorides and in consequence, it has a Zero Ozone Depletion Coefficient.
The fire extinguishing systems with NOVEC gas based on NovecTM 1230 consist in one or more extinguishing gas holder tanks installed to discharge into the volume of the protected area, a predetermined NovecTM 1230 quantity. The NovecTM 1230 gas holder tanks, are designed to deposit the agent in a liquid state pressurized at 24.8 bar (360 psi) and a temperature of 20°C.
All the equipments composing this type of fire extinguishing system are designed and tested to work in a temperature segment between - 20°C and 50°C. The operation and installing for this type of equipment must be made only by experienced personnel, having background In the work with such equipments.
The fire extinguishing systems with NovecTM 1230S are designed to put out fires of flammable liquids and gases, and electric and electronic equipments. The quantity of Oxygen in the room is not modified in a significant percentage, and the tests have proven that Novec TM 1230 is much lesser toxic than Halon 1301.
Usually a system is composed of one or more extinguishing gasholder tanks, connected to a pipe and discharge nozzles distribution network.

The fire extinguishing systems with aerosols type MICRO-K represents the newest fire protection technology using as extinguishing agent, aerosols of potassium and sodium. The solid extinguishing agent sublimates and breaks the combustion chain reaction of the chemical groups (hydrogen, oxygen, and hydroxide) because the particles of the aerosol create a wide surface to capture those chemical groups. As a result, the combustion chain reaction is broken and the fire is immediately extinguished.
In the Micro-K system, the releasing of the aerosols is not made at high temperatures that can damage the protected equipments (as in the case of other aerosols generators). The systems have a high efficiency in class A fires (surface fire on combustible elements), class B fires (fires caused by flammable liquids and gases) and class C fires (fires caused by operating electric and electronic equipment).
The MICRO-K fire extinguishing systems with aerosols have the following usual application fields: engine compartments, industrial cleaning equipments, pumping chamber, spaces for station control equipments, rooms containing transmission devices, electric converters chambers, etc.
The Micro-K aerosols generators are compatible with different releasing systems:
* Mechanical – manual or automatic using the principle of fusible material melting.
* Electrical – by receiving a signal from the fire detection system of the enclosure.
